Governance, Risk & Compliance

IT Enterprise Governance (GEIT) is defined as "the processes that ensure the effective and efficient use of IT in enabling an organization to achieve its goals" (ISACA). It is Operational Process Efficiency, Innovation and Improvement.

It is critically important for an organization to address the challenges around integrating "best" practises to develop "good" practise solutions. "Goodgovernance, risk and compliance (GRC) programs need to be embedded within an organization's IT and enterprise architecture. This allows for flexabilty, lowers operational risk, and provides the ground work to develop a service improvement roadmap.

According to the Cyber Security & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), "Cyber security is the art of protecting networks, devices and data from unauthorized access or criminal use and the practice of ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of information."

Intralink uses the NIST Cybersecurity framework (CSF), which focuses on using business drivers to guide cybersecurity activities and considering cybersecurity risks as part of the organization’s risk management processes. The Framework provides a common organizing structure for multiple approaches to cybersecurity by assembling standards, guidelines, and practices that are working effectively today, referencing globally recognized standards for cybersecurity.
